Co-founders Alex Juniper and Alfie Payne met during their Master’s in Automotive Journalism, producing feature articles, reviewing press cars, and immersing themselves in the automotive world. Driven by a shared belief that the industry needed a more contemporary approach to storytelling, they built Differential Media on it.

Alfie’s passion for automotive journalism led him to his Master’s, where he used writing to tell the stories of the designers and machines at the heart of the industry. Beyond his studies, he adapted those stories for the digital age, building skills across website and editorial design, social media management, and digital optimisation. As Creative Director of Differential Media, he brings artistic vision, marketing expertise, and journalistic integrity to the automotive space.

During his Master’s in Automotive Journalism, Alex developed a passion for videography and photography, building those interests into a broad skill set spanning cinematography, design, and media post-production. From on-set work to directing commercial shoots, he has continued to interpret the automotive world through a distinctive visual lens. As Creative Director of Differential Media, Alex brings his perspective, creative precision, and industry insight to the forefront.
